Aims of this Society is to:
• Help families cope with the trauma and adaption of a newborn premature baby
• Provide emotional support to these parents, particularly during the traumatic
hospitalization and immediate care of the infant after being discharged from hospital
• Assist parents with medical information concerning the physical progress and development
of the baby
• Create a greater public awareness of the trauma associated with pre-term babies
Meetings
During our open meetings every alternative month , we invite various guest speakers to provide us with
further
information and knowledge about important topics concerning our premature babies such as
• occupational therapy
• physiotherapy
• hearing and speech therapy
• emotional development and needs
• immunization
• feeding

The committee of this group consists of :
a pediatrician, nursing staff , clinical social worker and involved mothers.
These services are being made available to you in order to try to help you overcome the
trauma and assist parents to adjust to this wonderful but different situation.
